Ο Ανδρέας ο Βακαλιός

I was born in Budapest where I spent half of my life's summers. I studied Digital Arts (MFA) at the Athens School of Fine Arts and Informatics at TEI of Athens.

I am a Talents Sarajevo Alumnus.

I work as a screenwriter, an editor and a designer in Athens, Greece.
I am an awarded film director.



I have participated with films at over 30 international film festivals being awarded 7 times.

A short film (Yama, prod. GFC) and a feature documentary script (Nikos Karouzos - Poems on a Taperecorder, prod. Faliro House, HBC, GFC, Empty Square) of mine are funded by the Greek Film Centre while I was a finalist at screenwriting and pitching workshops/contests of the Hellenic Film Academy 2017, Greek Film Centre 2016, Int'l Drama Short Film Festival.

Ι have attended masterclasses and workshops by Bella Tarr, Werner Herzog, Gyula Gazdag, Srdjan Dragojevic, Bobby Roth, Csaba Bollok, Ognjen Svilisic.

I was accepted in the Master Program of Film and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague FAMU and in the Master Program of the Netherlands Film And TV Academy AHK but never attended either due to lack of scholarships.

I have worked as a visiting editing and mixing tutor at ASFA, as an editor for documentaries and as a videographer for various live shows and performances.

My youtube MashupsGR channel consists of allegedly funny and creative mashups of Greek and international pop culture and has 2mil+ views.
